If you could go back and witness any historical event, which one would you pick?

Witnessing the domestication of fire would be interesting, I think. How did it come about? Did early humans capture a burning bush on the edge of a wildfire? Was it an accident? The sun may have glinted just right against a certain rock, which was next to the early human’s camp, and certain early humans, instead of reacting with fear, may have learned to tame it.

In reality, fire was probably “discovered” at different times by different people thousands of miles apart in different ways. I would like to witness the first such occurrence.
