Spiders

What’s something you used to worry about but don’t anymore?

As a kid, I had a phobia of spiders – especially daddy-long-legs. I was often terrified when my family went tent camping. Daddy-long-legs loved hiding from the rain on top of the tent under the rain fly, and I would wake up face-to-face with them.

As I grew older, I would intentionally stare straight at daddy-long-legs whenever I saw them. Slowly, and my fear of the harmless bugs lessened. Do you have any phobias that you overcame? How did you do it? Comment to let me know!

Like you, I’ve always been terrified of spiders. I couldn’t even look at a picture of one (and your header image did give me the collywobbles!) Now, though, I can tolerate them from a distance, and even think that jumping spiders are rather cute.
