One movie that inspired me to travel to the periphery of my subconscious was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This movie portrays the experience of being on acid rather well.
Traveling to the periphery of my subconscious while on acid enlightened me, and it healed my trauma in ways nothing ever had before. I am very grateful to have taken this journey, and these trauma-healing effects were compounded when I took doctor-prescribed ketamine about a decade later. Psychedelics have changed my life.
Lucius was the first person to ever give me acid. I still remember spending the entire night awake on his living room floor, grappling with the realizations acid had allowed me — including feeling an increased sense of empathy for every human being on Earth. A tear slid down my cheek.
I have Lucius to thank for all the healing from my trauma psychedelics have allowed me. Without him, who knows where I would be now.
