I’d erase the trend of judging people by appearances before getting to know them. Because I had a severe TBI when I was a teen, I dealt with this a lot as a freshman in college. People took one look at me and decided they did not want to be my friend. This damaged my self-worth in a big way.
I did not find Lucius, Frank, and Sammy until the following year. Lucius got to know me by being friends with my roommate, AK, first. Lucius introduced me to Frank and Sammy, and we all became fast friends.
