If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in Amsterdam, Netherlands for it’s progressive culture and extensive bike networks. Amsterdam is a heavy international business hub as well. Other highlights of the Amsterdam culture that appeal to me are legal cannabis, legal and regulated prostitution, and a drinking age of eighteen.
Additionally, automatic firearms are broadly illegal. This differs from the United States, where automatic firearms are protected under the second amendment. As a result of this, mass shootings occur almost every day somewhere in the United States. In the Netherlands, only 22 mass shootings in 2020. This includes police shootings, so the actual rate is much lower.
