What’s a moment in your life that felt like it was straight out of a movie?
This occurred when I was a sophomore in college in La Crosse. It was Friday night. My friend Lucius brought over his twin brother Frank and a person I had never met before, a foreign exchange student from Germany. She was blonde, and her name was Sammy. Her tights were bright green, and her shirt was a black tank top. It had a quote from a popular show on it, “Wanna hook up?”
We drank and smoked and did molly on the bathroom counter. I felt so free. In my tiny living room, I found myself face to face with Sammy. I looked down and, without thinking, read her shirt aloud. She grinned and nodded. We disappeared into my room and locked the door.
