What’s the most profound piece of advice you’ve been given? Did you take it?
“Get a job,” my father insisted. I tried to take his advice, but very few entities are hiring part-time workers. Also, and maybe more importantly, I am in the middle of a ketamine treatment for my depression, and do ketamine every three to four days. This wipes me out, and affects my availability in a big way.
These are not excuses, but literal reasons why I cannot get a job now.
My dad is a good guy, don’t get me wrong. But, he doesn’t support me, financially or otherwise. I am covering all of my expenses myself, and so I have no obligation to take his advice.
