When I entered a highly competitive corporate market, an executive told me, “If you spend all your time watching your competitors, you will end up running in their direction instead of your own.”

I took the advice completely. I stopped checking competitor press releases and focused entirely on my own product development and customer feedback. This strategy allowed my team to create original features that distinguished us from the crowd, rather than copying existing industry trends.
