Hi I believe religion at its core is very performative and an attempt to present oneself acceptable before a righteous God through doing good works. But no one is good, I.e. morally perfect. All of us have sinned and fallen short of Gods standard of righteousness. Telling a lie but giving to the poor does not cancel out the sin of lying and vice versa. I’m more than happy to share an alternative and superior truth to the construct of religion if you’d like?!
