Daily writing prompt
If you could have dinner with any philosopher, who would it be?
I liked Plato from very early in my studies. It was in an English class that I first became cognizant of an idea of his that goes something like this: he thought the invention of writing would have a negative effect on collective human intellect because people would no longer need to use their memory to remember things. This turned out to not be the case, but the thought stuck with me as interesting.
If you could have dinner with any philosopher, who would it be? Comment to let me know!
