This quote in English roughly translated to, “a state of war; everyone versus everyone.” It was Tomas Hobbes’s conception of human nature as found in his work, “Leviathan”. I think of this quote often when I witness it happening or hear about someone doing something bad to someone else. I’ve thought of it a lot under this Trump regime.
