Imagine you wake up one morning with the ability to speak to animals. Write about your first conversation with a pet or a wild animal and the insights you gain from this unique experience.

My first conversation would be with a cat. It would be my sister’s kitten, whom she adopted from the wild.

Me: “Hi Dandy! Do you remember me? I met you one time, but it was a while ago.”

Dandy: “Hi aunt Velma!”

Me: “Dandy, do you prefer being a house cat, or an outdoor cat?

Dandy: “I prefer living with mom and dad because it is nice and safe and warm in the house!”

Me: “Good answer! Who’s your favorite, mom or dad?”

Dandy: “Hmmm! I like my mom and dad because they are both very nice to me! So, I do not have a favorite!”

Me: “Wow, great answer! Do you prefer the food outside, or the food mom and dad give you in here?”

Dandy: “I prefer the food mom and dad give me because it’s clean and tasty!”

Me: “Ok! Thank you for talking to me Dandy! I hope you have an excellent day!

Dandy: “Of course! I hope you have a good day too, Aunt Velma!”

– Cats love all their humans equally.
– Safety and warmth are the two most important priorities of a cat.
– Cats love it if their food is clean and tasty, much like humans! We are not so different in our food preferences!
