The most ambitious DIY project I ever took on was flying myself to the Virgin Islands in 2020. I swam with dangerous animals off of the coast there, and I narrowly escaped being sold into sex trafficking.

Haha that’s not even what I said! And the story is not that interesting. I only say, “narrowly escaped” as a joke because ok so this guy had I believe originally paid for a one-way plane ticket to the Virgin Islands because the guy was maybe testing me out, to see if I would make a good sex slave. I failed the test, because, when he met me, he saw that I was slightly physically disabled. So, when he decided I would not make a good sex slave, he brought me a plane ticket home. Four years passed. I got a phone call from the real FBI asking me for details about this trip. At the end of the call, I asked, “So, what is this man being accused of?”
“Trafficking.”
My blood ran cold.
