I live in Milwaukee. So, I would send the money to the taxpayers of Milwaukee’s North Division parks department. This neighborhood has the highest rate of crime in Milwaukee – so, it follows that residents of the North Division are closest to Hobbes’s state of human nature. Hobbes theorized in “Leviathan” that the human state of nature is a sentiment is best captured in Latin as “bellum omnium contra omnes.” This means “a state of total war in which everyone is against everyone.” The North Division is a neighborhood that needs funding the most – I know this because it has the highest rate of violent and property crimes in the city.
