What topics do you like to discuss?

This is a very open ended question; I am not sure where to begin. I’ll start with myself. I graduated from UW La Crosse in 2019, with a double major and a minor. My cumulative GPA was above a 3.0.

The toughest class I took was this required class for my Philosophy major: Logic. I failed Logic the first time I took it. Then, I took it again. This time , I aced the final exam and got a B in the class.

The second time I took the class, I was brave enough to follow the professor’s instructions and “turn to the person next to you and say, ‘Hi. My name is Dr. Kramer. What’s your name?’”

I passed the class for this reason. I could not have done it without my study buddy holding me accountable to study at the library several times a week.

    That first fail feels like stepping on a shaky ladder rung and hanging there, breath caught. Instead of climbing down, you glanced sideways and found another hand gripping the rung with you. Two hands, one steady rhythm, and the ladder held firm. Step by step, the hard class turned from a brick wall into a climbable hill.

    A study partner is a small mirror. It shows the skipped cracks we pretend aren’t there. Put two mirrors face-to-face and light bounces back and forth until even dry logic pages glow like road lines at dusk.

    Now I’m eyeing the locked doors in my own week. Maybe the key isn’t sharper focus or stronger coffee, but an empty chair pulled close to mine.
