Why I do not want to have kids

I don’t want to have any biological kid/s for several reasons. I love myself too much to voluntarily submit to the initial violence (childbirth). I also love myself too much to be legally responsible for a dependent human being for two decades. Plus, the world is overpopulated anyway. Let’s say the population keeps increasing at the same rate. Earth will run out of land to grow enough food to feed everybody by something like 2080.

Given my privilege and class, my mother took me to see a gynecologist when I was 18. I was an awkward teen, so I did not actually start having sex until I was 19.

I realize not all women are afforded this privilege and rely on their boyfriend’s sloppy reflexes to prevent pregnancy. By no means am I blaming mothers – indeed, they deserve support more than almost anyone. Way more than billionaires.
