How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
An apparent failure for me was befriending a hoard of hooligans in college, who manipulated and robbed me many times. However, I learned much from these people, and I was even introduced to my, to this day, favorite therapeutic drug. This drug had no long-term ill effects on me, and had healed me of my trauma for a long after I had taken it. This drug is called LSD, but we called it “acid.” I firmly believe that the effects of this drug had on my mind was what enabled me to graduate college with a double major and a minor in 2019.
The therapeutic effects of LSD have been well studied and documented, but, ironically, this substance remains illegal in most of the states in America, save for a few on the west coast. Smh at the American Food and Drug Administration – you can do better. It is a powerful drug that will dilute your mental state for a while you’re on it, much like alcohol, but better, because you can become enlightened on it. It enables one to see the bigger picture, and become overwhelmed with empathy for others. At least, those are some of the effects it has had on me. Plus, it heals my trauma. Yet it remains misunderstood, and therefore feared, by much of the world.
