Yes. When I was in second grade, it was discovered that I had an extremely good poker face. This landed me the role of Gladys Herdman in the play that was showing in a town nearby. I felt supremely cool as I carpooled to play practice with Maggie Ball, who was five years older than me and had gotten the role of Imogene Herdman, Glady’s older sister.

The play was about a Christmas pageant which ran amok when the town bullies, the Herdmans, decided to drop in and participate. The story follows their antics as they prepare for and perform a Christmas pageant for their church.
