Preventing the domestic abuse of children is a job I would do for free. Children are the most vulnerable people in our society. In the role I aspire to, caregivers must show their responsibility. Only then are they allowed custody of a child, like we already do with vaccinations. I would love to be the one to do the assessments to either allow or prohibit people to become parents.
In some cases, children are raped by their parents or caregivers. This is enough to land someone in therapy for decades. Our taxpayers would save a lot of money being funneled into therapy programs for these patients.
My solution is simple. Everyone must undergo a thorough psychological evaluation before they can be responsible for a dependent human being. This idea would face wide criticism, I already know, because I live in a nation that elected Trump, TWICE. The family is held by many to be the epitome of privacy. I propose that we disrupt this system which is harmful to so many. Vet potential parents.
