When I was thirteen, my family moved two hours away for my dad’s job. I was devastated. This nightmare began on the last day of 7th grade. I waved goodbye to all my friends. Then, I got in the car and rode over 100 miles to my new home. It was bigger, but I hated the big houses instantly. This nightmare dragged out into one long lonely summer.
I was shy, and so meeting new friends was hard for me. This experience taught me that I could withstand great loss. I also realized that making new friends actually wasn’t too hard.
