Do you believe in fate/destiny?

I do not, but I recognize that I do not really know. People want to believe in something greater than ourselves, believe there’s some great purpose. This is understandable – the world is a dark and horrible place. People want escapism. This is fine. However, when big organizations cover up pedophilia, and they do not prevent it from reoccurring, I think that is wrong. I tend to eschew their stories.
