How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?

Major changes show me which “beliefs” were inherited and which “ones”beliefs” are chosen. For example, I was raised in the Catholic church, and was a very devout youngster. In first grade, I would donate my entire allowance every week to the church because my parents told me it went to helping poor people.

By 7th grade, I considered myself an atheist. This divide from the Catholic Church was perpetuated by seeing the movie, “Spotlight” in college. How do significant life events and the passage of time influence your perspective on life? Comment to let me know!
