Daily writing prompt
What do you complain about the most?

I complain about the pressure to explain myself to my family. My parents are very controlling, and even though I am 30, they still ask me personal questions that I feel bad deflecting. I must draw boundaries, and practice saying, “I don’t know,” more often.

You know, Parents will forever remain parents, no matter how old you get they will still consider you as their child.

You know boundaries are very important but accountability matters too for your parents – they too want to know how you are doing maybe in your emotional life, financial life or relationship (marriage).

These little details keeps them assured of the well-being of their child. So @ Gentle witch, when you think of putting boundaries remember that there are some people in your life that you will have to be accountable to them even if you don’t want or like it.

Nevertheless, setting boundaries is a sign of maturity, purpose and objectivity in one’s life.
