If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?
The pet I most recently played with is my sibling and their partner’s kitten. The kitten had been a stray living in their backyard for some time, and so they adopted it. The kitten has an unbelievable amount of energy, and loves to play. They are not getting the kitten declawed, like my parents did to our cat when I was a child.
I still remember my childhood kitten’s incessant crying and moaning as her paws healed from being declawed. I am glad my sibling and her partner have the morality not to do this to their kitten. The reason my parents did that to our cat was that my parents were too attached to their material things. I am very glad these values were not passed down to me and my siblings.
