I feel loved right now as I can thank a person unrelated to me for literally teaching me how to walk again. When I was 16, I was driving a car. I was speeding, and I clipped a guide wire. You know, those diagonally placed strings between the ground and the middle of tall telephone polls?. Anyways, the car tumbled across a field. This caused me to become sentient in a hospital seven weeks later, unable to move half of my body, trapped inside of a cage bed.
After this horrible injury, my chances of recovery were slim. Luckily, my best friend Claire came to the hospital every day to motivate me to relearn all my skills – walking, talking, and even thinking. I feel very loved just thinking about this.
