What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

Another career path that’s crossed my mind more than once is environmental consulting. I’m passionate about sustainability and fascinated by how businesses can reduce their ecological footprint without sacrificing success.

This path appeals to both my analytical side and my sense of responsibility toward the planet. I imagine working with companies to audit their operations, find greener alternatives, and create long-term sustainability strategies. It’s the kind of work that feels tangible—you can see the real-world impact.

I’ve always liked the intersection of science and policy, and environmental consulting sits right in that sweet spot. It would allow me to bridge communication between environmental scientists, business leaders, and communities.

What really draws me in is the potential for creativity—helping a company think differently about waste, energy, and resources. I’d love the challenge of transforming sustainability from a buzzword into a measurable goal.

It’s also a career that’s only becoming more relevant. As climate issues rise, so does the demand for innovative solutions. Being part of that change—helping to rewrite how businesses think about “growth”—would be incredibly fulfilling.
