I would like to learn more about speech pathology. Speech pathologists assist clients who deal with aphasia. There are many different types of aphasia. Aphasia occurs when the brain cannot communicate the ideas to the mouth. My friend’s mom has aphasia from her stroke last year, and she had her speech therapy appointment today. She did very well, and answered most of the speech pathologist’s questions correctly. She is giving her recovery 110 percent, and I am so proud of her.
