I would like to learn more interpersonal skills. I have the tendency to drop political daggers into conversations. I am very passionate about certain things, like equality and equity and human rights. When anyone expresses an opposing view, I tend to open my mouth. However, I am getting better at learning when to remain silent when I am with groups of people. The other day, I was speaking with a bartender I thought was my friend. Then, he started singing Trump’s praises. I was repulsed and shocked, but the only thing I said was, “I respect your opinion.”
