In what ways does hard work make you feel fulfilled?

Hard work makes me feel fulfilled in that I am rewarded financially for it. For example, now, I do odd jobs. My ex pays me to go visit his mom in the nursing home. She had a stroke last year. She’s making a great recovery, though. I feel fulfilled witnessing her progress and healing.
