I could be closer to my mom. When I was a child, my mother and I did not get along. This has changed in my adult life.
She told me when I saw her the other day, “My mom and I never got along until I had children.” Well, she had me when
she was about my age now. I do not plan to procreate for a myriad of reasons. So, I think what my mom was saying
was that she wished we were closer. I am getting dinner with her today, so that is a good thing, but I will try to call
her at least once a week in the future.
