I can lead, if need be. Usually, though, I prefer to spread out leadership among as many people as possible. Human nature can be summarized as “everyone versus everyone.” Therefore, I think it’s important to spread out power as much as possible.
This idea came from Thomas Hobbes in the 1600s. He theorized that a society is most powerful when everyone is working together. This was a somewhat radical idea for the time. Hobbes originally expressed this sentiment in Latin, which is, “bellum omnium contra omnes.” This means, “the god of war [is] everyone versus everyone.” The English translation is not grammatically perfect. However, the sentiment is clear. [Human nature is] a great war of everyone versus everyone.
