This article is about Mo Gawdat. He is the former CEO of Google X, and he issues a dire warning about the future.
“The next 15 years will be “hell” before we get to heaven: said Gawdat in Steve Barlett’s “Diary of a CEO” podcast on
Monday. Gawdat warned that “the end of white-collar work,” will begin by the late 2020s.

This fundamental shift will exacerbate unemployment, and it will channel gross levels of influence and
wealth to the owners of these systems. This will leave millions of workers struggling to find
employment. This fundamental change will cause a”white-collar bloodbath,” said Anthorpic CEO Dario
Amodei. He predicts that up to half of entry-level jobs could be replaced with AI.

This is an uninteresting story in that executives have been predicting an AI revolution for what feels like forever. This
article connects to my life in that I have worked in a white collar job for years. I was also a cashier for years. AI could
eliminate my role in the workforce in the future. I feel nervous about this, since I would like to have opportunities in the
workplace in the future.
