This is not really a tradition, but both my parents were journalists. I tried my hand at journalism for a brief time in
college. However, I found that I did not have the stamina .To be a journalist, one needs to do certain tasks. These tasks
include to rush up to important people and ask them pertinent questions and record their answers after events. I So, I
settled for blogging to enhance my writing career. So far so good, but I have not even monetized my blog yet.
The reason I write for this blog is not to make money and gain notoriety. This blog exists to compile samples of my writing. I may use samples of my writing to
for me to write excerpts of my autobiography. I do not know when I will publish my autobiography. I’m hoping to publish some type of book in
the next decade or so, though, on my experiences as a teen.
When I was 16, I rolled and spun a car many times. I was going over 70 mph when I clipped a guide wire on a rural road. From this, a
“severe traumatic brain injury” occurred. After I spent seven weeks in a coma, I spent months in the hospital learning how to do
everything again. When I was first waking up, I remember having one thought on my mind. It was, “ESCAPE!” Escaping from the
delapitated state I found myself in.
When I came home from the hospital, I was actually able to walk, albeit clutching the walls for balance. Hospital staff gave me an Iron Man medal
on my way out because of the incredible effort I had shown. After a lot of therapy and hard work,
I eventually made a full recovery from this severe TBI.
