For the future, I’m most excited about a wedding I will attend in August. This is the wedding of my good early-childhood friend. His family and my families played together a lot, and the memories I have with this kid are wild. We were always playing a game – “catch the Ed” was a popular one.
While playing “catch the Ed,” I would chase him relentlessly across the playground. When I would catch him, for some reason, I would always try to kiss him on the mouth. This was very innocent – we were like 5 – and our game was the only thing on our minds. He claimed to be disgusted by this, and would resist up until the very end. I found this to be very funny.
Zoo Tycoon and Sid Mayer’s Civilization were our favorite computer games. He showed me both games, and I loved them both right away. He would always try to get me to play football with him while our parents were at “Bible study.” However, I never wanted to play football with him.
