Punk music. Think Blink 182 and Less Than Jake. I really found this genre of music in high school and latched onto the genre right away. I loved the music, but I did not hang out with the kids who went to shows during this time. I found the punk scene to be very relatable.
I didn’t attend my first show until I saw Hollywood Undead (cringe!?) at a music festival. This was when I was about 17. I felt so cool to even be there. This was like a year after my injury occurred, and so I still was not steady on my feet. However, Claire saw this and carried me on her back through the crowd so I would not get trampled. What’s your favorite genre of music? When did you start to like it? Why?
