One of my favorite moments is from my childhood. My dad would take me out to a field at a park and we would launch his home-made rockets. The rocket soared far above the Earth until it could not be seen from the ground. Soon, a parachute would pop open. We watched it s slowly sink down to the ground. Then, we ran over to pick it up.
As a child, this was the coolest thing imaginable. This opened up m sense of wonder and delight, and it motivated me to excel in science courses in school.
