This is a picture of the forest directly behind my partner’s yard. It is very nice to live here. If I am having a bad day, I can go outside and feel better. This is because simply observing nature is very good for one’s mental health.
I learned this when I was in residential therapy a few years ago. One of the therapeutic activities we did was observing nature for twenty minutes. Observing nature has been proven to aid mental health in many studies.
Simply observing nature is very good for one’s mental health. So, next time you are having a bad day, take some time to just look at nature. The mind will thank you.
