I am passionate about the welfare of others. In Greek, agape literally means, “brotherly love,” but it has been interpreted to mean “love for humanity.” It is similar to what motivates me to use freerice.com to improve my vocabulary and help the world’s most vulnerable populations.
I have seen “Agape” used as the name of an anti-abortion clinic, which irked me in a big way. Have they no concern for the welfare of victims of unwanted pregnancy? The real, fully formed, living, breathing people? What about love for them?
