The legacy I hope to leave behind is: Do not quit. Keep working towards your goals, no matter how hard things get.
In 2011, I was faced with a difficult situation. I was speeding, and I rolled the car. A severe traumatic brain injury resulted and left me in a coma for seven weeks.
Instead of accepting my fate, I found like hell to escape the prison my body had become. Almost four months after the injury, I was discharged from the hospital. Staff awarded me with an Iron Man medal because they were so impressed with the willpower I had shown.
