Progress

I spent a few hours with my partner’s “Ma” at the nursing home today. She’s been living there since she had a stroke in October. She is doing better than she was, but there’s still a lot of healing that has to happen.

The doctor told us that her stroke damaged Broca’s area in her brain. So, she has trouble saying what she means. But today, with no prompting, she said the names of two close relatives! I almost cried.
