My English is perfect for no other reason than that I am a privileged white American. My parents paid for my college education, and I attended one of the best schools in my state. I took out loans for housing and food and other things, but they were all forgiven 3 years later when my mental health led me to apply for SSI. It was granted, and all of my student loans were forgiven as a result.
