I used to “forgive” very bad people. People would take advantage of me by making me pay for everything. I did it because I liked partying with them so much.

Then, I learned to draw boundaries. To do this, I imitated others, and I practiced. Now, I do not assist strangers as often as I once did.

Forgiving someone does not mean trusting them again. This was the lesson I learned from this series of experiences. Forgive, but do not forget.
