Birds tweeting soothes me as I lie back on the two twin sized mattresses in the tent in my partner’s backyard. All the windows are zipped open wide, and I can feel the breeze through the thin mesh. I hear stray cats purring in the tent shelter behind my tent. They are cuddling.
My partner set up both tents in his backyard. Our backyard, now that I live here. One tent is for us to hangout in, and one for the stray cats. The tent for us is a two-room canvas tent with two twin sized mattresses on top of each other and some furniture. The other tent is a floor-less shed-type tent with a bed for the cats in it.
