Falling birthrates in developed countries is obviously the result of improved access to contraception. Parenthood, especially motherhood, is so difficult everywhere that many women are, understandably, opting out. Further proof lies in the fact that higher birth rates directly correlate to areas of the world where birth control is not available. Make motherhood easier, and solve the population crisis.
Yet, women are so disadvantaged that solutions like this don’t occur to policymakers.
