True happiness can exist in fulling your purpose. When I was in high school, my friend attempted suicide because he felt like he did not have a purpose. At that time, I did not understand.
Now, over a decade later, I do understand. Living without a purpose can make one feel empty. It can seem to suggest that your entire life is futile. However, throughout my life, I’ve learned that true splendiferousness can exist in chaos.
The mad genius is a familiar trope, but so few grasp its true significance. For things ideas to be top tier, there must be a certain amount of chaos involved. What form this chaos comes in is entirely up to you. Chaos can be channeled in productive ways, such as creativity, thinking abstractly, and approaching everything with an open mind.
If we spend all our time focusing on our “purpose,” we can miss out on the beauty of the chaos. Instead of striving to fulfill a purpose, we should appreciate and learn to tap into the chaos in and around us, and learn to use it in productive ways.
So, it is better to live one’s life in ignorance of any purpose, and to instead learn to appreciate and tap into the chaos within and around ourselves.
Do you agree with this? Why or why not? Also, where do you find happiness?
