Describe one positive change you have made in your life.

When I drink, I have cut down on the rate of my alcohol consumption. As recently as two years ago, I used to slurp down kamakazis like they were water when given the opportunity. For those unaware, kamakazis are made with one part vodka, one part triple sec, and one part lime juice. However, in recent months, I’ve started to try to pay attention to how much I’m consuming. I try to stick to three or four drinks per evening, with food. Also, I’ve stopped drinking all together around certain friends and family members. This is because I have not always behaved appropriately drinking with them in the past.

Cutting down on my drinking has affected me positively because it has enabled me to have better relationships with my loved ones – namely, my family and my partner. It also improves my health. Alcohol consumption raises the risk of heart disease, and so by drinking in moderation, I reduce this risk.
