(Madison, Wisconsin) Democracy is being restored to the state of Wisconsin. The ordered that boundary lines for districts are unconstitutional and be redrawn by the elected state officials; future elections will now be more fair. “The liberal-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned Republican-drawn legislative maps on Friday and ordered that new district boundary lines be drawn,” (PBS.org, Scott Bauer – Associated Press). This is good news for democracy and for Wisconsinites, who have been at the mercy of Republican-drawn gerrymandered districts for over a decade. The new districts will probably be unveiled in roughly two months.
