My favorite animal is a dolphin. Dolphins are very intelligent; their intelligence surpasses that of most other mammals. Their intellect has been estimated to be equivalent to that of a three year old. Therefore, it is inhuman to hold dolphins as captives.
Dolphins are cognizant; they recognize themselves in a mirror, and are curious about what they look like. They play, and even adorn themselves with objects they find in the ocean.
Dolphins can not only problem solve; they can collaborate to do so. This is evidence of a greater intelligence than some adult humans.
Dolphins are too intelligent for us to justify holding them as captives. Dolphins can recognize themselves in a mirror, and can even dress up, in a sense. Dolphins can perceive problems and collaborate to solve them.
