A common misconception people have is that money is directly correlated with happiness. However, this is only really true below about 75 k annual household income. Once we start talking about a 75 k annual income, happiness almost flatlines.
This is a fact I learned from studying data I was presented with in an online Yale class I took a few years ago on happiness.
