Meditation is a useful activity to engage in while fasting. When combing the two activities, you can delve further into the transcendent state you are now bringing upon the mind.
Unless you take something to suppress your appetite, like a stimulant, you can expect to be hungry at some point. Sink into your soul, and become immersed in the kind of high it gives to cleanse the mind. Sink into the spiritual experience.
Drink lots of black coffee, especially if skipping breakfast. The caffeine will suppress appetite. Drink lots of water too. It’s always important to stay hydrated, even if you are not eating. but in this case, it will fill the stomach.
Distract your mind with an activity. Exercise, a computer game, or even reading a book are some positive distractions from your potential hunger. Do not watch television, as this requires little thought. Chose something you really like doing that requires concentration and become immersed in it.
